The Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland was a mecca for political and artistic performances. In 1916, founder Hugo Ball presented the Dada Manifesto launching the movement of which Beatrice Wood would become a seminal member.
The Candied Lemon and Ginger flavors of Saturday Night at the Voltaire are meant to recreate the taste of a late-night cocktail and the energy of the birth of an avant-garde art movement, reminiscent of the vibrant energy of famous club and performance space. The iconic venue sparked a revolutionary movement that would shape the artistic landscape for years to come. Beatrice Woods, a pivotal figure in the Dada movement, found inspiration here and left an indelible mark on the art world. Artwork: Beatrice Wood, A Man Trying Not to Take Sides, 1990.
