October, 2022 - Beautiful, charming, and much older than I am, my wife and the John Montgomery House had a lot in common. Next to Lisa, the building was the 2nd longest relationship in my life. And, next to Lisa, the building required the 2nd most amount of work in my life. When our business was focused on art exhibitions, the time and energy required to maintain and upgrade the gallery spaces made sense. But as we were shifting our attention into a chocolate shop that occupied only one room, it was hard to justify the energy we put into the rest of the building. With a heavy heart, I realized that it was time to say goodbye to one of the great loves of my life. It was time to sell the Porch Gallery.
