Not to brag*, but we have a super-fan**. Paul, co-founder at GARA Skincare, is fanatical about our milk chocolate bars. We have designated production days just for Paul. When he approached us with the idea of adding black sage to our chocolate bars, we were hesitant. The flavor combination seemed a bit unusual, and we were worried about sourcing the oil. Both concerns were fleeting. Lisa and I like to embrace the unusual***, and Paul promised to personally forage for, and distill, the black sage.
So, if you spot a person roaming the hills of Ojai with milk chocolate bars filling his pockets and bundles of sage on his back, say “hi” to Paul, the man who had the brilliant idea to merge his two passions****—distilling and chocolate—into one remarkable chocolate bar.
